Bloodbath Bathurst

When I think of Mount Panarama in Bathurst, I usually think of the absolutely insane Australian Circuit which was built into a mountainside where even more insane racing drivers zoom around at top speed....not my failed attempt of a race....

Bathurst went exactly the same way I ended the previous season. On a crashing low. I only play iRacing in full screen mode. So when I connected my phone to charge it, I was pretty pissed off when it went into windowed mode to try to transfer media files... I closed the sim, and re-opened it in full screen mode. I missed the 3 minute practice session beforehand, so I was sort of in a rush to get a qualifying lap in…My first attempt at this ended in a crash at the kink before the final chicane, and my second attempt was incredibly sloppy, due to over pushing….The race didn’t go any better

On the second row down into turn one, and the driver on my left doesn’t see me and squeezes me….I brake on the grass, hit into him, he spins and hits the wall...at the same time the driver in 3rd tries to get in between 2nd and 4th (a small gap), but ends up having contact, and spinning himself out... 4th hits him and puts 3rd on his side...meanwhile, the guy who squeezed me, rolls backwards and collects another driver...and behind me, 2 others who didn't see the accident unfold also pile into my side and continue to crash into one another as they try to avoid the guy that orignally squeezed me, one of these then rolls...the incident continues as yet more behind me don't slow down in enough time and join the accident...partially caused by the guy who squeezed me trying to rejoin in an unsafe manner. One more car is spun after this . We reach the top of the hill, someone tried to get down the inside of me, they just got past, but lost it on the grass...and I had nowhere to go and I was just a passenger, nowhere to go, straight into him….I bliddy hope VRS in Class C goes better…..
