WHAT A RACE THAT WAS! WOW!

In practice, I was all over the place, and consequently, finished last.

Qualifying was better, as I qualified 6th, my second best session, I felt like the lap was very clean.

The race was an absolute dream!

Lights out and away we go, great start from everybody, heading into Turn One, The #2 of Tore Skarsethstuen (Who I’d meet later on) braked much earlier than he needed to, allowing me to sweep right around the outside….He fell from 4th to 8th….

On lap 2, Bicorne Aurelien who had just dived into 3rd, (started 5th) tried a move around the outside Sage Carbonell…however, it didn’t work as Carbonell went wide and spun Aurelien, leaving Aurelien in the barriers with a heavily damaged car and Sage going incredibly slowly (avoiding action) I was easily able to pass both without any trouble at all

The following lap, James McKee ran out of road and spun on the grass, handing 3rd place to me on a Bronze plate!

For the next 4 laps, I drove extremely cautiously, as it was a 15 lap race, and I was in a potential podium position, and with a back-marker battling the car in 2nd position, it could all go horribly wrong!

On lap 7, Tore Skarsethstuen got my slipstream and zoomed past me….

Lap 8: Retirement - Luis Castillejo (Accident/s)

He held this position for a good 3 laps, before losing his back-end on a kerb…gifting 3rd place back to me, the backmarker (who had a big battle with Skarsethstuen) spun at the following corner…

Another damaged back-marker appeared, but stayed well out of my way…

It was a bitter day for Miguel Revuelta who started in 7th, got up to 2nd, and then unfortunately got disqualified after 7 laps….(Too many “off-track” moments). As I was in 3rd, this Silver trophy was mine…

However, I drove too cautiously and James McKee caught up and overtook me, which I was OK with as a podium in my first season of racing was more than I could ask for, so I let him go….

It was an even worse day for Sage Carbonell as on Lap 18 he was disqualified for the same reason as Miguel Revuelta, however, as he had started in 2nd, plummeted to 7th and couldn’t save it from there

Lap 18 was a scary one for me as well, as I clipped a kerb and went for a little drift…this helped Mr Tore close right up and go for a little attempt of a lunge down the inside

Having the slip-stream on me down the straight, he got me down the inside….on the penultimate lap, but after a rather large kerb unsettled his car, and put him on the grass….there would be no trophy in his cabinet that night.

Although he did slowly catch back up to me, as I was being mega cautious, -0.129 seconds separated us as we crossed the line!
