Sleep Is Important

Watkins Glen (USA) (1st April)

Under no circumstances should you race whilst tired…unless it’s an endurance race longer than an hour….which this was not.

After a reasonably busy college day (3 lessons spread out) a friend of mine came to stay for a while, which put me in a situation where I had to do the Iracing Ferrari 488 GT3 Championship at Watkins Glen at 9.30pm…and as Iracing is a proper simulator, I concentrated pretty hard…and it wore me out in barely a couple of laps…which was not ideal.

In Brutal Honesty, I should not have finished that race. End Of. I bumped a guy that lifted through a sweeping corner, spinning him out, and losing loads of positions myself, and then later on spun out, and crashed into a competitor whilst re-joining. It was shit-show after shit-show…and I should of skipped it and slept.
