Week 13 Shenanigans

WARNING - POST CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE

Week 13

Week 13 is probably started off as well as expected…(judging by how Season 1's Week 13 went) the first race plagued with technical problems and then a crash to top it all off.

So. On Monday, iRacing announced there would be an update the following day, On Tuesday, I had to go into college and complete college work….a 10 - 15 minute PowerPoint Presentation (standing and presenting it) on a game concept that I created…which went decently.

It was 4pm when I returned home, and iRacing was still not online…Fast forward to 6pm, iRacing finally came back online…thank the heavens, but it was tea time. So had dinner and desert, did the washing up alone, and then jumping onto iracing. After 2, one hour long downloads I was ready to play…I jumped into the 22:30pm session. And the lag was hurrendous. I don’t know if it was due to the amount of cars online, or another issue, but it was insufferable. 60 seconds before the official session was due to start, my computer decided to disconnect from the internet. The internet was fine. My computer just fucked off from it. So I missed the race. The 23:30 race had the same lag, but this time I stayed on. And the race went FUCKING amazing.

The Last standing start I had was a Mazda in season 1. So having done 13 weeks (12 weeks of GT3 challenge, and one week of Season 1 week 13) of rolling starts...I expected this to be...so I was very confused when we lined up on the grid...no pace car...and the grey lights came on....i shifted into first...expecting us to all roll away....red lights appear....and I am the only one to roll forward....and got myself a 15 second penalty. Congratulations to me. Came into the pits to serve my penalty...came out again and crashed half a lap later. Genius

Silverstone went better, but still as infuriating.

Everything went perfectly until 60 seconds before the start of the race…..my computer room was too dim, so I turned on the lights…too bright…so I turned them down…I was still rushing to my seat when the red lights come on…I couldn’t think straight with that much adrenaline rushing through my body…so I had a poor start….avoided cars flying off left right and center, and then shifted down at a corner where I never shift down….someone rear ended me, Saved it…and then the car snapped on me and I hit into the wall

So! Let’s compare Week 13’s Shall we?

Well, previously I had a string of 3 DNF’s from boredom, mental health and a crash throughout the middle of Week 13.... this year, I fucked up Bathurst by braking on the grass, and then crashing at the top of the hill, jump started, followed by a crash, and then crashed at Silverstone….or got crashed into….Next up is Nurburgring….I have nothing really planned for Tomorrow…so lets pray to the heavens that I don’t die.

Tsbukuba was very tough for me. I expected the apocalypse to start…but everyone was too well behaved at the start, and with a spin on lap 3, it was pretty much a recovery drive.

The race after this was meant to be Detroit, but due to extreme tiredness and headache, I did not do any race on this day….

Laguna Seca

Special Guest: Timothy Wymer The MadLad Himself XD

Everyone spun out and died whilst I kept it on the black stuff and ended my week 13 in style
