This weekend flew by. Despite nothing really happening, weekends are for relaxing and that's what I did. This weekend was the Baku Grand Prix. In my opinion it didn't really exite me. I mean, turn one where a few people banged wheels was ok. But the rest was the same old story...Manor at the back, Nico dominating at the front. I am really losing hope in Formula One at the moment. It has to be said, the Spanish Grand Prix, when both the Mercedes took each other out was the best race of the year. I do not know how but Formula One needs to be sorted out. Bring back the side by side racing action, bring back the banging of wheels and the crashing of cars...I know Bernie and Jean Todt have heard this a thousand times, but it is a real issue. I am really tempted to turn off the telly because I know the same old result. I am usually heavily into Formula One but...I have lost interest. The Mercedes have got too much of a lead...and that is down to the money they are given compared to Manor. There are a few ways F1 can be saved:

1. Look at Formula E - Eco-friendly, sustainable, action-packed racing.

2. Look at BTCC - I am not even going to begin to explain how interested I am in BTCC, the problem is, I am never free for half a day, therefore I can not watch all three races

3. Put all the drivers names into a bowl and a celebrity/an official takes the drivers names out one by one to see where they start. Before you say "It should be about driver skill" and "What About Qualifying?" The drivers get one practice session (whatever length under 1 hour) to learn the track. Qualifying is a waste of time (sorry!) The skill comes in the driver starting from any posistion on the grid and doing their best.

4. This is the most impossible out of the 4. Having three twenty minute races. In the first race, lets say, the driver starts 1st - 9th, In the second he starts 10th - 16th and in the final race he starts 16th - 22nd (It may not be accurate. CBA to do maths right now) but what I am trying to say is: in the first race put him at the front of the grid, in the second race, put him in the mid-pack and in the final race put him in the back. Now I don't mean doing it in that order, but I mean vary where the driver starts.

5. Vary the race lengths: This one popped at the top of my head. If we/FIA vary the distances of the race, then the drivers will feel different amounts of pressure.

6. Ok. This is not one of them but I think GP2 has hit the nail on the head, great action, plenty of smashes, and generally a good (or bad, however you look at it) bunch of drivers

Sorry if you do love F1 dearly but, Baku was a big shame for me as I was expecting to see a little more 'on the edge of my seat.'

Thank you for reading.
