Hello Guys!!!
Sorry I haven't been blogging for 2 days!!!! Thanks for not complaining!!!!
Sunday was VERY busy: The final Formula E race of the season...and at Battersea Park. :'( It'll still be in London, just somewhere else. Anyway....back to the race!
If you follow Formula E, you probably already know this, but Lucas Di Grassi (GER) and Sebastian Buemi (FRA) have been fighting it out for the top spot in the drivers Championship. Buemi won the first couple of races, had a dip, Di Grassi won some races, and by the first London E-Prix on Saturday (the one I went to) there was 3 points in it! (Yeah F1! Watch & Learn!) It was a spectacular race (read yesterdays blog for more). Nicolas Prost, Son of 4 time Formula One Champion, Alain Prost, won.
In the second race (If Di Grassi won he wins the championship. If Buemi wins, he gets the championship). Buemi starts from pole, Di Grassi starts from 3rd. First Lap. First Corner. Guess what happens? Di Grassi outbrakes himself and rear ends Buemi, going over his rear wing. He lands in the wall. As soon as Buemi stops skidding. He is off quicker than Usain Bolt...Well almost as quick. With only a rear wing missing he zooms back to the pits. Di Grassi is left worse-off. He has lost his front wing, and has damaged his front wheel. it is bent beyond repair. He somehow manages to get back into the pits.
This may be confusing for those who do not watch Formua E, but each driver has 2 cars, they swap cars mid-race (each car can only hold a certain amount of electricity, like your phone, tablet or laptop) - instead of charging the car up for 2 hours, and instead of watching 120 minutes of a Formula E car charging, they simply swap cars...anyway, back to the racing...or should I say 'Qualifying'! The driver with the fastest lap wins. If Di Grassi crashes/DNF's then he still gets the championship (most podiums wins) but if he gets diqualifyed for rear ending Buemi, then Buemi gets the championship. In the end Buemi set a lap that not even Di Grassi could beat. Buemi is the 2015 - 2016 Formula E champion. Nelson Piquet won the championship last year.
After that it was the turn of Formula One. And by golly what a grid it was. Which I think I explained in a previous blog.
Despite Vettel having a dramatic puncture (use youtube) it was a calm race. UNTIL THE FINAL LAP!!! At turn 2 Rosberg dived to the inside of Hamilton (That's a first!!! still racing until the final lap!!!) and didn't even attempt to turn in. The result? CONTACT!!!! Cheato Rosberg tried forcing Hamilton wide so Rosberg would win. No chance. Rosberg damaged his front wing - got 10 second penalty for driving with a damaged car (+2 points on his F1 superlicence.) I am in a little rush now so I can't really explain. please use google to look it up :/
Finally topgear: Last of the series. Matt DeBlanc drove a 911 R. Forgot the rest. The final point is: IF Topgear comes back. No. More. Chris.
